One Nation Under God – A National Day of Prayer Event

Today is the 61st annual observance of the National Day of Prayer.

From sunrise to sunset across the nation, people will be praying for our nation. Will you join us?

First Baptist Church of Lake Park is hosting a National Day of Prayer Event at 7:00 p.m. tonight. They are located at 625 Park Avenue in Lake Park.

Their prayer chapel will also be open at noon for those who would like to come and pray during the day.

Our nation was founded by those who relied upon the protection of Divine Providence, pledging to one another their lives, their fortunes and their sacred honor. If America is to thrive as we have in the past, we must continue to cling to Almighty God and work together so our nation not only survives but thrives. It begins with each of us as individuals. Once we take up the personal responsibility to rely on God for his guidance and strength, then we are able to come together as One Nation Under God.

Please take time today to pray for guidance and protection for our nation.

Please also pray for:

  • our military
  • our government
  • our families
  • the upcoming Presidential and local elections
  • the moral fiber of our nation
  • the leaders in our towns
    • our schools
    • our churches
    • our homes

It’s obvious our nation is facing incredible challenges. We can’t rely on our own power to overcome what lies ahead. We’ll only find the hope we need as individuals and as a nation as we rely on the strength God’s mighty power.

Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord.

Psalm 33:12
